The wind still blows among the chaos

Back to the place which has seen me for 21 years, now I see the place and although it has changed, the air still smells the same. The wind still blows through the trees that have survived the slaughter of encroachment. The eagle still has a house in a peepal tree across the street. I watched it glide over the unseen ripples of air. A twig in his beak and the aspiration of building another successful nest with his soulmate in his eyes. Ages of toil reflected on its feathers. Yet it was full of majesty and pride.

Although at first glance, the place seems chaotic and lost to noise and so called "progress". There is inner insignificant bass line that runs through the music in this place, that is still peaceful, one just needs to tune into it and you will be amazed to find the very heart beat that makes this whole concoction of music beautiful. The cooing of the pigeons, the larks, mynahs and koels, the constant breeze that brings with it unseen and foreign smells, and the hope of rain on a hot day.

One bottom line of realization here today was that life sustains no matter in what form. Earlier when there was more natural habitat, there was more wildlife, so souls and life existed in more variety. But now, due to the sheer persistent rule of adaptation, life had to change a few faces. Now there are not as much variety, yet the number of souls remain the same, by the increase in number of species that can adapt to the world that has come to be. The inner energy of life and existence remains, only the form and face we perceive has changed.

These thoughts swept through my mind as I walked the morning air. A smile across my face and a calm in my heart. Although I missed the initial glimpses of the sun, it still looked majestic a few degrees above the horizon. The clouds veiling its sheer power from me. The sky was a beautiful blue speckled with white.

My first beautiful calm morning in a land built for meditation.

That calm is a dimension that is difficult to perceive in a place as busy as Hyd. That you can "hear the bass line" is a testament to your awareness of "life" and its manifestations. Bravo on a soul stirring post.
