A binary, boxed-in, motley world

Everything around us screams and says there are real numbers yet we like to round off and see integers. In an effort to simplify and understand, we forget the very assumptions that a theory is based on. I know I am being very specific here ...hehe! What I mean is there is a transition everywhere we see. Nothing happens in a flash, a flash to us is still a few microseconds long, there is nothing absolutely discrete in the world we live in. There are no solid lines between right and wrong, no solid lines in the rainbow, no solid lines between seasons, there is always a transition ....a transition as beautiful as the spring or fall, when change dominates. When the world assumes a color of beauty and takes off its mundane garb, like a butterfly coming out of a cocoon. Its these transitions which are worth living for I think.
We strive for definition everywhere and at every age. We are taught to color within the lines, drive within the lanes, at some point it is necessary for co-existence. But one should realise it is not valid everywhere. One cannot draw lines between a right and a wrong. Someone's wrong is someone's right. Sometimes there is no right or wrong, it just is. We forget that and we fight to prove something when it doesnt really matter. We want to draw a line somewhere and confine, contain and define. Hope someday we realise and learn to live in the transitions... see colors instead of living in a monochromatic world. Learn to say its ok to not know or define, ok to go beyond the lines.

On the same note, you might find work by Leibniz interesting...he came up with the binary number system and thought the number '1' represented god and '0' depicting void!

Truth by her very nature doesn't reveal herself in completion and I sort of think that leads us to these grey nay vibrantly colorful plateaus. Now, the physical reality of the existence of quanta on certain levels of natural existence does preclude continuity from certain realms though it certainly has no pertinence to the poetic truth and reality that you seem to ascribe to.

Anyways, keep writing...

This thought could be in different dimension.
The transition is at the Object's end. And the observer feels/recognizes the transition only because:

1. either he/she is static
2. or he/she underwent some other transition, which is way different from that of the object.

Ultimately, it is the dissonance which reveals transition, because if both the object and the observer experience transition in same direction (or dimension), there is no transition to be felt at all.
So somewhere there, it is the dissonance (in thought and perception) which keep things running.

I know this comment is little abstract, but it is just a counter thought to your post, which is abstractly beautiful.

Machines deal with dicrete states. If there are no transitionary phases in thought as well as the physical world, then we be no different from robots and a mechanical world. Also, these transitions give rise to randomness to a certain degree which makes life interesting.
Beautiful thought though.
