Regeneration and extinction is inside us

Everyone says it is written in the religious books - we come we go. The concept of regeneration, rebirth, the soul....all stories woven to make the end less of an end. If you think about it, the cells in your body regularly die and regenerate. We just dont feel it. The overall outcome is that we continue to grow when we are young and perceive it physically. Regeneration rate is more than extinction rate when we are young and as we age the scales tip toward extinction until the body cant function like it did. Different conditions set in, and we manage and prolong life as much as we can using external influence (medicine).

Extinction is inside us, every day and so is regeneration and life. I see life like a bubble that forms on water as it flows. It forms and soon pops, the water is still there.

We are a part of Life as it weaves through different forms that are either alive or sustain life - air, water, rocks, minerals, trees, animals. We integrate into a form and then disintegrate to form something else. So amazing if you think about it. To even be the baton carrier and be aware of it while running the leg of the race seems like a privilege and gift of the human form.

The problem comes when the form is all we identify with and recognize. The form is important - it does allow to act - touch - feel - react - maybe even influence or take care of another form - have relationships - most of all it allows you to support the continuation of life.

Our mind comes with the ability to understand but also looks for sources of permanence to attach itself to. The relationships and forms we bond to are a consequence of that. We want meaning for the "I" inside in the form of role, function. We will always struggle with that and will weave stories to please that need. We will struggle with letting go of attachment to form and we know deep down that form will change and is not permanent. The attachment in itself is probably not bad. Its ok to feel, it makes us human - feel sorrow, express sorrow. As long as we are able to accept and move on in the name of the rest of life around you without remorse, regret or any other baggage.

Welcome to the human life! Lets celebrate its energy everyday!
